We don't spend time and money to figure out where should we work or whom we should help.  We locate needy people or a community by reading newspapers, watching TV, talking to people or while we're trekking with clients in the remote villages.  As soon as we see someone in need of help we assist right there on the spot. 

We do not have any overhead expenses of running an office, using the internet, or telephone or hiring staff.  These are provided for free by 3 Jewels Adventures in Kathmandu where HED Project's executive director works. Likewise our international coordinator James Tillotson works full time as a volunteer.  Thus, we use 100% of the funds, which we collect from donation campaign to directly help those in need.
